Corona As Nature's Reaction

The Boy Smiles out of Agony
At the corner of the way turning left
In a house - I often see almost
An eleven years old boy
Sitting on a chair, staring at the ceiling
Continuously, saliva falling out of his mouth,
Flies flying and gathering around.
The Boy Smiles out of Agony
As if mocking the so-called Omnipresent
Omnipotent and Omniscient God.
As if asking - what is my fault?
If it is outcome of sins of my past life,
Do I remember them?
Is it your justice to punish me without my knowledge of those sins?
The vacant charmless eyes have number of questions.
The mother still has rural - love
Urban love may take the boy as a burden.
The mother invests all her life
To cure him.
This courage itself is a victory
Of a mother
And defeat of the cruel god.

Madhesh Movement is Against Racial Attitude
Madheshi leaders and party cadres are saying that this movement is against state, but that is only partly true because this movement can't be solved by the government only. We have found almost no big parties serious about it yet because they don't even dare to talk about demarcation of states including two Madhesh states. Rather, they have their own interest against Madheshi people. That's why they are still trying to avoid or defame or utilize the ongoing madhesh movement for their benefit.
A strong back force of the present government is a group of ultra nationalists who support K.P. Oli-led government against Madheshis because their mind is filled with the opinion that all the madheshis are Indians whereas all the area of Madhesh is Nepal. Let me ask simple question - who were the people living in the Bhuddha's and Janak's Kingdom? Weren't they the native Madheshis? How can any sensible person deny the native people from their nation? These anti-madheshi, ultra nationalists believe that many Indians immigrated to Madhesh, they calculate the percentage of the growth of population in last hundred or fifty years of Madhesh exaggerating such a way as if no madheshi gave birth to any child. And count them all as immigrants. These ultra nationalists don't know that many of the immigrants were also necessity of Nepal that time. Because many of them were educated too, so they worked here and in long run they lived in Nepal legally. And even if they stayed illegally then the khas-gorkhali should be held responsible for this because they have been driving the nation holding high posts and positions to enjoy the power to give citizenship to them. And not only this, even larger number of population of pahadi people immigrated from north hill to terai which they never mention to what some madheshi politicians and scholars say internal colonisation and encroachment.
Those ultra nationalists have ill intentions and ill motives to drive madheshi natives to India. The general concept of these people is that those who speak Nepali with Hindi accent or only speak Maithali, Bhojpuri, Abadhi etc are Indians, so they should be misbehaved, insulted and made fun of with some stereotype names like Bhaiya, Dhoti, etc. How long should Madheshis suffer social, political discrimination and psychological torture in Nepal? Here, not only poor, uneducated villagers of Madhesh are misbehaved but also educated and high class Madheshi officers are suffering same pain of insults and misbehavior directly or indirectly which either they avoid as if they haven't heard or they hide to divulge for the sake of their prestige and dignity of their position. In recent days our ex-president and ex vice-president have directly or indirectly divulged their plight to which no big media or government gave any serious attention either. Because they both are Madheshis and this can't be coincidental. As we know some poor Indians esp. from Bihar have also been working in Kathmandu. But, is that the proper reason to insult them? Are there not hundreds of thousand Nepali working in India as well?
Many Khas-Gorkhali politicians and ultra nationalists have a paranoia that a lot of Indians will enter in Nepal and try to get Nepali citizenship. But thinking it logically will make you feel pity on intellectual bankruptcy of those ultra nationalists. In India almost all the goods are far cheaper than in Nepal; fuel and even motorbikes, cars and other vehicles are far cheaper. And the salary that Indian job holders get is almost twice as much or even more than that in Nepal. And not only this but also value of Indian currency is higher in Nepal ie. Rs.100/- IC ( Indian Currency) is equal to Rs. 160/- NC (Nepali Currency.) Then why would Indian citizen try to be Nepali?
Though few other cases are also there, Once I asked a vendor who runs a small business on a cart of four cycle wheels who sells chana chatpati, paanipuri etc. He told me that he is from Motihari, Bihar. He is here because Delhi or Mumbai is too far from his home in comparison of Kathmandu and he needs to go home frequently in gap of only few months. So living in Kathmandu is easier for them. But does it prove that they want to be Nepali citizen and even if some want, what is wrong if they go lawfully? And Why don't you compare the number of Nepali Citizen to legally become Indian Citizen?
These ultra nationalists are extremely poor in logic if you ask why only people of certain hilly castes esp. Gorkhali - Khas Brahmin/kshetri should be Nepali. They will perhaps say that they are descendants of Valiant Gorkhali. But the big question is that- Is the nation property of only these Khas- Gorkhali? Or should all Nepali call themselves to be Gorkhali? And the apparently clear answer is -NO. As new term has come to the ground is that Nepal is a multinational country. Except Madheshi people many other groups of people in Nepal are in illusion that they are descendants of so called valiant Gorkhali. I was shocked once, when I heard some madheshi students calling themselves descendants of valiant Gorkhali in a stage program in one of the schools I taught in terai. It must be Nepali or social teacher of that school who might have either written in the script of that mini drama or they might have misguided the students in classroom because they are Pahadi Brahmins. Those non-Gorkhali who adopted their identity as Gorkhali are comparatively in better position in Nepal than Madheshi people. But if you go to deeper level you will find that only Kathmandu was called Nepal earlier, so on that basis only Newars of Kathmandu are Nepali. The Khas - Gorkhali adopted Nepali identity later but ironically they marginalised same Newars who not only lost their state but also identity.
They are pseudo nationalists because they try to show their love towards the nation while a true nationalist doesn't even try to show but they really love their country unlike exhibitionists do. They use foreigner products. They watch Hindi and English movies, they sing Hindi and English songs. They watch hindi serials. They start their days with hindi prayers of God, even they brush with indian products and with same mouth they ungratefully abuse India. Once they won a football game against India and shouted a slogan " We won dhoti" which didn't let Madheshi share the happiness rather hurt them. If we can't unite and keep on upsetting a whole race then how can we be united like true nationalists?
The infamous term in Kathmandu "manu makhu marsya kha" (meaning - not a human but madheshi) by newars is the representative attitude of most of the Pahadi community as observed in Nepal. And this is a proof that suggest to what extent Madheshis were misbehaved and insulted. How can they be called civilized who have this much hatred towards a certain race? Why not to call them racist who doesn't accept existence of other than their own?
I take these movements to be against attitudes of anti-madheshi sentiment. This anti madheshi sentiment is the basic reason to push madheshi to be attracted towards making separate Madhesh Nation. But still many so-called pseudonationalists are not ready to accept and correct their attitudes and behavior rather they are forcing madheshis to stop movement and accept their regressive constitution and reversely blaming them of hatching conspiracy of secession.
Madhesh issue seems to be used as a strong means or ladder for Deuwa and Prachanda to be Prime ministers. But they can't be 100% trusted either, because their parties had equally participated in drafting this regressive constitution. Immense pressure should be put on his government because ultimately any government must solve this issue.
It looks like some so-called top leaders anyhow try to be prime minister in Nepal only to get their name enlisted in the record of history and probably to get life long facilities and security for future from Nepal government turn by turn. And not only this but also Nepalese politicians make agreement in advance for the post of prime minister. They are never serious towards nation let alone Madhesh.
If there was award systems for worst prime minister like in Bollywood which awards the worst movie of the year. KP Oli would have certainly won this award; perhaps because he is the biggest incapable prime minister in the history of Nepal. He only tries to distribute dreams in frivolous manner like - to fit the pipeline of LPG gas in each kitchen of Nepal, to produce electricity from air, to facilitate Kathmandu with modern train which has pointed face, to buy ship and use in Pacific ocean etc are the most expensive dreams distributed so cheaply. He is trying to ignore Madhesh Movement and misguide public.
Madheshis have got deep wound in their heart which seems to have damaged the proximity and understanding between Madheshi and Pahadi that is when people of Hilll and Mountain are in trouble because of earthquake, Madheshis are trying to help them by all means but when Madheshis were being shot in head and heart with bullets in Madhesh movement they were celebrating Dipawali in the name of successful promulgation of the regressive constitution.
It seems that these so-called nationalists have still illusion that they are omnipotent and omniscient but they don't know that it takes no time for a wound to be cancer if it is not cured at right time. What I mean is if they keep on ignoring and betraying Madhesh then there is high risk of secession of Madhesh. So, correct your attitude and behavior. Face it. Try to solve it. If you are not going to compromise how can you expect protesters to compromise?

Equality in mockery
The positive thing now I found in Madheshi medias is that they are at least trying to write freely and favoring Madhesh unlike the Nepali medias who are writing and speaking apparently against Madhesh. The impact of the mockery of Madheshi is so deep that they feel humiliated and many of them have lost self esteem. As a result they try to follow or imitate Nepali accent every time even with their friends and family to such an extent that they have almost forgotten their mother tongue. This is the clear evidence of their psychology that they feel shame to speak their mother tongue.
Some Nepali people may find my logic offensive but I am sure if they think honestly they will find it logical. If they (Nepali Medias) were not meant to offend madheshi then at least original Madheshi should have been given chance to play those roles of mocking madheshi accent. This is a bitter irony that many Nepali actors achieved high respect in Nepal and became very famous TV and movie stars just because of the mockery of Madheshi language accent. But almost no Madheshi is found famous in Nepal as an actor. And it is simply because Nepalis never gave a sentimental proximity to Madheshis.
I am called "black sir" or "Madhishe" in my school in Kathmandu by an innocent three class newar girl. Some times she calls me "Babaa" ie."Dad" as well, in response to my address to her as "chhori" ie.”daughter". Other students of class five also try to call me black but I usually don't mind because many of the newar students are far blacker than I am. But when students of class eight call me "dhoti" I am badly infuriated. Now the question is who taught the three class girl to call me Madhise or how did the eight class students dare to call me "dhoti"? Did their parents teach no manner? How many Madheshi students mock Nepali teachers in Madhesh? My clear answer is -Not even a single student. But now I guess Madheshi students may do it in future as a revenge and as an impact of Madheshi Movement.
A few Madhesis and almost all Nepali ask why Madheshi don't call themselves Nepali. The answer is above because of no respect, no equality, no opportunity but only mockery etc. They never provided a clean practical environment which would let Madheshi feel Nepali. Nor is it possible for a conscious Madheshi because here, certain races from Darjeeling to Bhutan are accepted as Nepali but original Madheshis are not accepted as Nepali. How can a Bhutanese or Indian from Darjeeling or Sikkim etc places despite having their Indian or Bhutanese Citizenship be Nepali? It clearly proves Nepali is racism not nationalism. Or it is ethnicity ot nationality.
About 15/16 years ago I showed my copy to Nepali teacher /madam in nine class in my copy that was one copied style from BP Koirala. I had written "I found myself doing something...." The teacher said my language was poor. Then I guessed she had not read that type of language in Nepali because it is English diction. But she could say that because she was a teacher and in the other hand she was native speaker of Nepali. I have found many times some Pahadi people speaking wrong Nepali which is nothing for them but when a Madheshi commits a mistake s/he becomes subject of redicule ( I myself became many times). Once one of my landlords tried to teach me that human feet are called "Goda" not "Khutta" that I had used but even after that I found many native speakers of Nepali use "Khutta". I only understood they tried to correct me for nothing useful only to humiliate me. Once in class in Tribhuvan University in MA our a so-called scholar used "Dhoti" word which reflects the mentality of Some Nepali scholars. And the Madheshi students did little to oppose it.

Your Constitution
In process of drafting Constitution
You kill our people only because
We wanted equal rights
You weave conspiracy
And kill your own police
And you blame us reversely
You neither listen to us
nor do your great media help us
The media still call themselves free
And not only this
Your people write satiric poem
about the massacre
Only blaming us
You are fully prepared to defame
our movement
The would be supreme man in your group, is constantly watching on most powerful chair
And compares our martyr
to few mangos falling from tree
Earlier he called these millions of participants in movement a handful of eight - ten people.
Your poor Human Right Activists are suffering from scarcity of humanity,
Or bankruptcy of humanity
They are now The Ethnic Right Activists
They look with one eye so see one side
Your media focus on unproved fact that protestors killed the policemen and a two year's child of a police
We are sad for that
But tell me, how many protests are uninfluenced by dionysianism in the history of the world?
Don't take us insensitive we are more conscious than you are
Your Ethnic Right Activists turned blind, deaf and dumb when policemen targeted heart and head of the protesters
Is it according to international law?
But here I salute your sense of equality you treated women's heart and children's head with same bullet How do you justify this State Organised Terrorism?
Are these children different than the former one?
But the bravest thing your DSP did, He urinated on the corpse of a martyr
Your DSP really deserves prizes and promotion......
So detestable......so hateful.....your acts are
Only to be prime minister
your Supreme Man is doing these.....
At last, congratulation for promulgating your racist constitution today.
You are going to celebrate Dipawali just after playing Holi with blood of Madheshi people.......
